How Ordering Process Works

When you visit our website, take your time to browse and find the perfect items for your space. If something catches your eye, here’s how you can make it yours:

  1. Place Your Order

    Simply select the products you love and submit your order in accordance with these Sale Terms at the prices shown on our site. Please Double-check your order before submitting. Once it has been accepted, you can not cancel it. If you change your mind about your order, you must follow our returns process (See 90-day free trial below).

  2. Order Received Notification

    We’ll promptly send you a notification email confirming we’ve received your order. Keep an eye on your inbox! Just so you know, receiving this notification means we’ve got your order, but it hasn’t been accepted yet. We’re processing it now and will be in touch soon to confirm everything.

  3. Acceptance of Your Order

    We want to make sure everything is perfect and in stock for you. We’ll review your order and decide if we can accept it. Typically, our automatic checking system completes the checking process within seconds. However, in some cases, a manual check by our team may be required, which can take a little longer.
    If all is good, we’ll send you an email to confirm that your order has been accepted. This email also contains your tax invoice and marks our official acceptance of your order. It forms a binding contract between us and your items will be on their way soon!

Rejection of Your Order

We love fulfilling your orders, and we usually accept every purchase with a smile. However, there are rare occasions where we might need to decline an order. This could be due to several reasons, such as:

  • Stock Limits: Sometimes, we have limits on how much of a product can be purchased by a person, household, or in a certain area.
  • Pricing or Description Errors: Mistakes happen! If there’s an error in the pricing or product description, we may need to pause your order.
  • Order Errors: If there’s a mistake in your order details, we might need to double-check things with you.

Please be aware that, to the extent permitted by law, including the Australian Consumer Law, we may choose to accept or reject your order in whole or in part for any reason, or sometimes, without any specific reason.

  • Accurate Information: Make sure your account details are up-to-date and accurate to ensure a smooth delivery of your order.
  • Security: It’s important to keep your account credentials secure. Remember, you’re responsible for any orders placed using your account details.
  • Use of Your Order: By placing your order, you agree that your order is not placed for any resell, re-supply or reproduction purpose. We’re all about fair play, so no reselling, fraud, or causing harm to our systems, please!

Payment

Pricing and Payment

All our prices are listed in Australian dollars and include GST where applicable. All payments are processed in Australian dollars. We accept various payment methods, including credit card and PayPal, along with other options available on our website during the checkout process.

Making a Payment

When you’re ready to buy, you’ll see all available payment options at checkout. Please note, these options can change without notice. Remember, completing your payment doesn’t mean your order is accepted, the order is accepted when we confirm the acceptance via email.

Before We Ship

We need to receive your payment in full before we can dispatch your items. If there’s an issue with your payment, like a decline from your bank or credit card issuer, we’ll have to reject your order. Unfortunately, we can’t hold items, and we can’t guarantee they’ll still be available if you try to order again.

Delivery

Delivery Fees

Delivery fees are typically fixed, based on the shipping origin, the destination, and the delivery method you select. The delivery cost for each order will be displayed during the checkout process before payment and order submission. Please note that any changes you make to the delivery address or delivery time after placing an order may incur additional charges. 

In rare cases, if our delivery partner reports that fulfilling your order results in unacceptably high freight charges for us, we reserve the right to contact you after your order is accepted to request additional delivery fees or to cancel your order before dispatch. In such cases, you may choose either option. If we cancel your order under these circumstances, we will issue a full refund.

Dispatch Times

Most orders received and confirmed by us before 10:30 am on business days will be dispatched the same day. Orders received after this time will be dispatched within 1-3 business days from the relevant warehouse, unless otherwise stated.

Occasionally, the dispatch timeframe may exceed our usual delivery window due to factors outside of our control, payment requiring a fraud check, or unusually busy times.

We strive to process all orders as quickly as possible and will generally contact you to notify you when your item has been dispatched or if we anticipate any delays.

Delivery Methods & Locations

We collaborate with several third-party delivery providers to ensure our products reach customers nationwide. Your order will be delivered to the address you provide during checkout using one of the delivery method you selected at checkout:

  • Standard Delivery: Orders with Standard Delivery will be delivered by one of our national carrier partners. Delivery is to the front door of ground floor, if your delivery is to a multi-story building, the delivery company will not travel beyond the ground floor front door. Standard Delivery typically occurs Monday to Friday between 8am and 6pm, though deliveries may occur outside these hours during peak periods. We strive to keep you informed throughout the process, via emails and SMS alerts. If you’re not available to receive your delivery and you have not authorised us to leave the package at the door, our delivery provider may leave a card, and you will need to collect your order from the courier’s outlet or arrange re-delivery with the contractor. Additional fees may apply if delivery needs to be rescheduled or if re-delivery is required due to no fault of benssur or our delivery partner. In such cases, the fee must be paid prior to re-attempting the delivery.
  • Room of Choice Delivery: Room of Choice Delivery is ideal for items that are large, heavy, or fragile and require specialist handling. You will be contacted prior to delivery to confirm a delivery day. Our Specialist Delivery team can go up to two flights of stairs to deliver your item to the room of your choice. For deliveries higher than two flights of stairs, there must be access to a lift that can accommodate the delivery. The lift must have sufficient space and capacity to carry the goods safely without the risk of damaging the lift or the goods. We kindly ask that you clear the way for our team prior to delivery to ensure they have unobstructed access to complete your delivery quickly and safely.
Authority to Leave (ATL)

If you can’t be home to receive your delivery, we encourage you to authorize couriers to leave parcels in a safe place out of the weather. You might be contacted by our delivery provider to ask if you want to authorize to leave. Giving permission for ATL will help you receive your goods on the first attempt and avoid the hassle of missed deliveries and re-deliveries. Please note that by authorizing ATL, you accept the risks associated with unattended deliveries, including loss or damage.

If you prefer not to allow us to leave your delivery in a safe place, we will require authorization upon delivery.

Failed delivery

We strive to fulfill every order, but in rare cases, we might have to refuse or cancel your order under the following circumstances:

  • PO Boxes or Parcel Lockers: Due to size constraints, we cannot deliver to PO boxes or Parcel Lockers. If no alternative address can be provided, we will have to cancel the order.
  • High-Risk or Inaccessible Locations: We reserve the right to refuse delivery to locations we consider high risk for loss or damage, or areas that are inaccessible by standard courier services.
  • Failed Delivery and Unpaid Additional Fees: If delivery needs to be rescheduled or if re-delivery is required due to no fault of benssur or our delivery partner, we will send you an invoice for the additional fee. This fee must be paid within 10 days of receipt. If the fee is not paid within this time frame, the order will be canceled and returned to our warehouse.
  • Uncollected item at courier’s outlet: If an item has been sent to the courier’s outlet for you to collect and the collection timeframe has lapsed without anyone collecting it, the item will be returned to our warehouse.

If we encounter such issues, we will contact you. If a solution cannot be found, we may have to cancel the order and refund you, less any reasonable shipping, return, and handling costs incurred.

Warranties and Liability

benssur Warranty

Our warranty is here to give you peace of mind, these warranties are provided in addition to the consumer guarantees required by the Australian Consumer Law. It covers the repair or replacement or partial/full refund of any product purchased directly from us that has a manufacturing or material defect. We are not liable for items sold by third parties. The warranty only applies to the original buyer and excludes anyone reselling benssur Furniture’s products.

This warranty does not include normal wear and tear or natural characteristics of the materials used. To keep this warranty valid, just use the product as intended and follow our care and use guidelines. It starts from the date you receive your product and lasts for the period specified below:

  • Chair – 2 Years.
  • Table – 3 years.
What’s Not Covered by benssur Warranty?
  • Normal wear and tear.
  • Variations in exact wood colour and grain.
  • Insignificant variations in product dimensions.
  • Insignificant superficial blemishes or imperfections that don’t affect the overall functionality or quality of the product.
  • Damage caused by misuse, abuse, or intentional actions.
  • Damage from improper assembly or modifications—unless it’s done by us or our approved contractors.
  • Damage from using the product in ways it wasn’t designed for, or from neglecting proper care and maintenance.
  • Damage that only affects the packaging.
  • Damage from handling and transporting the product after delivery.
How to make a claim?

Please contact us using our Customer Request Form. To help us resolve your issue quickly, please include the following information in your message:

  • A detailed description of the issue.
  • Proof of your purchase.
  • Clear photos of the product.
  • Clear photos showing the fault.

We’re committed to addressing your concerns swiftly. Once we review your claim and confirm that it’s valid, we’ll either repair or replace your product. If the original item is discontinued or unavailable, we may provide a similar alternative.

If a repair or replacement is difficult or not possible, we will provide a partial or full refund at our discretion, depending on the extent of the defects.

The warranty takes effect from the date you receive your product and does not reset with any repair or replacement. Any replacement or repaired product will continue to be covered by the remaining time left on the original warranty period.

Australian Consumer Law And Consumer guarantees

If you’re buying products or services from us in Australia, you’re protected under the Australian Consumer Law. We fully comply with all its regulations, and nothing in our Terms and Conditions is meant to limit or modify your rights under this law.

Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

Product arrives damaged

If a product arrives damaged, your rights under the Australian Consumer Law and Consumer Guarantees apply. Please contact our Customer Service Team using Customer Request Form as soon as you notice the damage. You may need to provide evidence, such as photos, to support your claim. Depending on how severe the damage is, we will either repair or replace the product, or offer you a full or partial refund.

Incorrect Orders

If the product delivered isn’t what you ordered, or if the quantity isn’t correct (too many or too few), please inform our Customer Service Team using Customer Request Form right away. It’s important that you return any products that were sent in error. We will take care of arranging for these products to be picked up, unless otherwise noted.

90-day Free Trial (Returns)

Eligibility

Our 90-day free trial is designed to give you confidence in purchasing our products that you truly love. We want you to experience the comfort, style, and quality of our products in your home environment before fully committing. This policy allows you to make a thoughtful decision, ensuring that the product you choose meets your expectations. 

If our products don’t completely meet your expectations, you can return them within 90 days of delivery for a full refund (excluding the original delivery fee), provided that:

  • Minimum Keep Period: You have kept the product for at least 14 days before initiating a return. Sometimes It can take a little time for new items to feel just right in your home.
  • Non-clearance purchases: All benssur products are eligible for our free trial, except for items purchased on “clearance”, which will be clearly marked as such on the product page.
  • Right to Refuse: Please note that this policy is intended for customers with genuine purchase intentions—to try the products they truly want, within a reasonable quantity. Returns are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and we reserve the right to refuse a return if we have reasonable grounds to suspect abuse of this policy, such as frequent or large-scale returns.

*Items sold as a set of two in one carton are considered a single item. If you initiate a return, you will need to return the entire set of two as originally received.

What’s next?

If you’re eligible for a return, there are just a couple of simple things we need you to check.

  • Purchase Requirement: Only the original purchaser can initiate a return. Please have your receipt or proof of purchase ready.
  • Product Condition: Returned products must not be stained or damaged. If products are returned stained, damaged, or missing parts (beyond normal wear and tear), you may only be eligible for a partial refund of up to 60%.
  • Pick-up Availability: You must be available at the scheduled pick-up time. Rescheduling may incur an operational fee.
  • Packaging: Original packaging is not required, but returned items must be disassembled (if applicable) and packaged appropriately for pickup and delivery as per our reasonable guidelines, which will be notified to you by email. Any damage caused during transportation due to inadequate packaging may result in the return request being denied.
Free return shipping

We offer free return shipping within the metro areas of Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Perth. We handle the pick-up of bulky products and provide return shipping labels for smaller items.

All other areas

Our 90-day free trial is available across all Australia, but please note that return shipping costs for regional and rural areas are not covered. You will need to send the product back to our designated fulfillment center.

Refunds

Back to your original payment method

Once your return item is received and accepted, we will refund the full amount you paid for the item (Original delivery fees paid are non-refundable) back to your original payment method. If your purchase was made using interest-free finance, please be aware that additional charges may apply from your supplier.

Alternative Refund Arrangements

If we are unable to process the refund via your original payment method, we will arrange to transfer the refund to a bank account in your name. To ensure security and compliance, this account must match the name on your photo ID (such as an Australian Driver’s Licence or Passport). If the account name differs from your ID, you will need to provide a valid Statutory Declaration confirming the account belongs to you.

Your information will be handled securely and in line with our Privacy Policy, ensuring protection against fraud. It may also be disclosed to state and territory departments if required by law.

Force Majeure

While we strive to meet all our commitments, there are times when factors beyond our control may cause delays or affect our ability to fulfill your order. We will not be liable for any such delays or non-performance. Situations that might lead to this include, but are not limited to:

  • Natural disasters and extreme weather conditions

Promo Codes

benssur may offer promotional codes applicable to specified purchases made through our website. Each promotion and promotional code will be subject to terms and conditions specified at the time, including the duration of the code’s validity.

Free products received as part of a promotion do not have a 90-day free trial period and cannot be refunded for cash or store credit. However, all benssur warranties and consumer guarantees required by law will still apply to these products.

Promo Codes may be distributed through various channels, including email newsletters, social media, and promotional events.

Using Promo Codes:
  • Promo Codes must be entered at the time of checkout to be applied.
  • Only one Promo Code can be used per transaction, unless stated otherwise.

Validity:

benssur’s Referral Program is a fantastic way to share our products with friends and family while earning rewards. When you refer someone to make a purchase from benssur, you’ll get a $150 discount coupon for your next purchase over $850 as a thank-you for introducing a new customer to us.

  • How It Works: Referring someone is easy! Once you submit their email, they’ll receive an email from benssur inviting them to shop on our website. By shopping using the link in that email, your referral will automatically get $150 off at checkout for purchases over $850. If the discount doesn’t show up, refreshing the page should fix it. Once your referral completes their purchase and the goods are dispatched, we’ll email you your $150 discount code for your next order, the coupon will be valid for 12 months.
  • Limitations: Keep in mind that the $150 discount can’t be applied to past purchases. Each discount code can only be used for one transaction, so if you have multiple rewards, you’ll need to redeem them separately. Discounts from the Referral Program can’t be combined with other promo codes or offers. And this program is just for bringing in new customers—referrals for existing customers aren’t eligible.
