This designer timber bench balances comfort and closeness and can be used as a lounge chair or compact bench. The design takes inspiration from Magnus Olesen’s 1937 Sofastole. It also draws on the soft movement of ocean waves.

Gentle curves shape the backrest and frame. As a result, the piece feels warm and welcoming. Small perforations appear across the shell. These details create a playful pattern while keeping the design visually light.

Timber Care

Timber is a natural material. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, radiators, or other heat sources will inevitably affect its appearance. The most common effects include timber turning yellowish under sunlight or paint losing its colour. While this typically doesn’t cause structural damage, it can result in noticeable changes in colour and surface finish, particularly on solid timber and painted surfaces.

Spills should be wiped immediately with a clean, damp cloth, followed by a dry cloth. Abrasive cleaners should be avoided.

  • Protect from direct sunlight, direct heat and weather.
  • Vacuum regularly using low suction.
